Some recommendations may help fund WanderJosh. You deserve to know when a brand relationship, commission, or complimentary experience is involved.

Some links may pay WanderJosh a commission if you purchase or book through them. Paid, discounted, or gifted brand relationships will be disclosed with the relevant content—not just on this page.
1. How affiliate links work
Some links on WanderJosh may be affiliate or referral links. If you click one and make a purchase, reservation, or qualifying signup, WanderJosh may earn a commission or other benefit from the provider. The price you pay is often unchanged, but pricing and offers are controlled by the provider, so it is worth comparing options.
Affiliate compensation helps support the time, equipment, research, travel, and production behind WanderJosh.
2. Sponsored content and gifted experiences
We may work with brands, tourism organizations, accommodation providers, technology companies, and other partners. A collaboration may involve a fee, gifted product, discount, complimentary accommodation, sponsored trip, or other benefit.
When a material relationship exists, we aim to identify it clearly in the relevant content. Free products or experiences are still material connections even when no cash payment is involved.
3. How we approach recommendations
WanderJosh is about making travel more practical for people with careers, budgets, and a home base. Our goal is to explain what a product, service, or experience is useful for, including meaningful limitations and trade-offs.
A payment, affiliate partnership, or gifted experience does not guarantee a positive review. Any first-hand experience will be described as such; research-based guidance will not be presented as hands-on testing.
4. How we identify paid relationships
We place short, plain-language disclosures near relevant links or recommendations. Examples of what you may see:
- Affiliate link: “This page contains affiliate links. If you buy through one, I may earn a commission.”
- Paid sponsorship: “This video/article is sponsored by [Brand].”
- Gifted stay or product: “[Brand] provided this stay/product at no charge.”
On YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms, we also use appropriate platform tools and content-level disclosures when needed. A general disclosure page is not a substitute for telling you about a specific paid relationship.
5. Third-party sites and tracking
When you click a partner link, the third-party service may use referral codes, cookies, or other tracking to attribute your visit or purchase. Its privacy policy and terms apply to interactions on its website. Please see our Privacy Policy for how WanderJosh handles personal information.
6. Questions about a partnership
